Welcome our 2005 Intern!

Kirsten U'ilani Chong, a fifth-year senior in Ethnic Studies at UH Mānoa, was greeted by Karen Uemoto as she arrived at Washington National Airport on Wednesday, August 31st. U'ilani lives in Kāne'ohe and is a graduate of Maui High School. Among other things, U'ilani enjoys surfing and participating in community service programs. She will be interning at the Smithsonian Institution's Asian Pacific American Progam as the Francis and Sarah Sogi Fellow under Dr Franklin Odo.
