Subject: mahalo nui!
Karen,
Mahalo nui loa to you, Dan in his new Reyn's Hawaii "H" aloha shirt, the Takafujis, and all the rest of the Northern Capitol Region Chapter for all that you did to make Wednesday evening's centennial celebration such a success!
The music was spectacular, the food at our favorite Chinese restaurant delicious, the guest list star-studded with Mazie and Neil, and the camraderie delightful. I sincerely appreciate the gift of the beautiful stained glass box depicting the Capitol in recognition for my service; it will remind me always of what a special chapter you lead, and of all the support you have given the university during my time as President.
With best wishes and warmest Aloha,
David McClainDavid, it was a wonderful evening and we all enjoyed the music, the friendship and good food. I hope that we can get you to come and visit with our chapter during your sabbatical and in your new role. Good luck and God Speed. KU
