UHAA-NCRC 2002 Interns

Our 2002 interns were welcomed by Karen Uemoto and Karin Rinaldi as they arrived on August 28, 2002 at the Dulles International Airport. On Monday, December 9th, NCRC held a farewell dinner for them at the China Garden Restaurant in Rosslyn, VA . They returned home on Sunday, December 15th. Kimberly Durand, a Computer Science major who interned at GSA in the electronic government strategies program, will graduate from UH in June and is planning a summer internship at Pearl Harbor; Ronald Tanaka, who interned in the Medical Science Division at the Smithsonian's American History Museum, is a senior in English and Biology and is planning to apply to UH Medical School following graduation; and Dawn Holland, who worked with Franklin Odo at the Smithsonian's Asian Pacific American Program, graduated from UH on December 22nd with a degree in English. The interns took an active part in NCRC activities during their stay. We look forward to sharing their stories of success in the future.
